Reading on Simplissimus poster/ early propaganda

In both readings I find how propaganda can be used on many different levels to express or carry out different communication. It also shows how propaganda in its many forms feeds off of peoples emotions. For instance in the article "Paper Bombs" that speaks about Leafleting that only seems to convey two kind of message to it readers live or die. It shows how images along with a few simple words, when targeted to the right audience can land a fetal blow. For example Leafleting where normally aimed at troops that where sick of the Cold War. It normally sent messages that told them that you are basically wasting you time and life with the war. In the article on simplissimus poster we see how propaganda also comes in the form of cartoon while having a little humor but in the end bring down the human emotion along with it.
